FAQs

In parenting work, do you meet with both me and my children?

My work is parent-oriented. By shifting our mindsets and behavior as parents, we will see shifts in our child/children’s mindsets and behavior. Parent coaching can include working together through the Empowered Parent Course (described below) or jumping right in to find more clarity and ease for families with children of all ages. Some typical conversations include:

* I’m so reactive and struggle to stay calm with my kids. How can I stop myself from yelling all the time?

* My daughter struggles with transitions. How can we make these daily events easier?

* I want to be a different kind of parent than my parents were. How do I make that a reality?

* My son is so disrespectful to me. How can we improve this and reduce the conflict?

* I have to nag my child constantly about his homework. How can we resolve this?

* Our kids fight non-stop. How can we bring more peace to our home?

* I want to have a better channel of communication with my teenagers. How can I achieve that?

* The phone is glued to my teenager’s hand. How can we set some boundaries around technology?

* Parenting always feels like work. How can we bring more fun and joy into our home?

Do you work with the parents of special needs children?

Yes! I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to coach the parents of special needs children. I am one myself. Mothers and fathers who have complex demands placed on their parenting can find greater ease and grace when supported by coaching.

Do you work on areas outside of parenting?

Yes! I also work with clients (who happen to be parents) to see possibility and potential in all areas of their lives. From relationships to wellness workplace challenges and beyond, I help clients to identify their optimal path forward and to achieve forward momentum. Some typical conversations include:

* I think I’m living someone else’s definition of success. Now what?

* I want to make some lasting lifestyle changes to be more active and healthy. What can I do differently this time?

* I need to figure out how to navigate a strained relationship at work? How can I repair this and move forward?

* I feel stuck and unmotivated in a few areas of my life. How can I dig myself out?

* I feel overwhelmed. What am I doing wrong?
